At Care Alliance, our psychologists are fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and provide personalised, evidence-based psychological support tailored to each participant’s individual needs, goals, and circumstances. A key focus of our psychology services is capacity building, supporting participants to develop emotional regulation, communication skills, self-awareness, coping strategies, resilience, and greater functional independence.
We support participants experiencing a range of presentations and support needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Complex PTSD, anxiety, mood-related difficulties, sleep concerns, reduced confidence and self-worth, life transitions, and challenges with relationships, communication, emotional regulation, and daily functioning. Our psychologists draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, while also incorporating Mindfulness, strengths-based approaches, Schema Therapy, and Neuropsychotherapy where clinically appropriate.
Psychology supports can be delivered in the participant’s home or at our welcoming Charlestown clinic, offering flexibility and accessibility based on individual needs and preferences. Our goal is to support participants to build practical skills, strengthen wellbeing, improve daily functioning, increase independence, and work towards meaningful outcomes aligned with their NDIS goals.
