FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about who we are, what we offer, how funding works and how to get started. Service-specific questions are answered on each service page.
Is Care Alliance a registered NDIS provider?
Yes. Care Alliance Allied Health & Supports (the trading name of Care Alliance Group Pty Ltd, ABN 72 656 823 004) is a registered NDIS provider — registration number 4050102760. You can verify any provider's registration on the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission's public register.
What areas does Care Alliance cover?
We deliver supports across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Cessnock, Port Stephens and the Central Coast, from our Charlestown clinic, in participants' homes and out in the community. Each area page on this site lists the suburbs we commonly cover.
What services does Care Alliance offer?
Psychology, positive behaviour support, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, dietetics, registered nursing, high intensity support, hospital discharge and transition, in-home support, community access, wheelchair accessible transport, Supported Independent Living (SIL), Individualised Living Options (ILO), Short Term Accommodation (STA), respite, equine assisted psychology and a 24/7 on-call team. Every service is guided by our psychologist-led clinical team.
What funding does Care Alliance accept?
NDIS funding however your plan is managed — agency-managed, plan-managed or self-managed — as well as iCare, DCJ, Medicare (where applicable) and privately funded arrangements. The intake team will confirm the right pathway for your situation before anything starts.
How do I make a referral or enquiry?
Three ways: the online referral form on this site (it goes straight to our intake team), phone 1300 206 309, or email info@carealliance.com.au. You can refer yourself, or a family member, carer or support coordinator can refer with your consent. Our guide 'What happens after you enquire' walks through every step.
Does Care Alliance offer a meet-and-greet before starting?
Yes — a free, no-obligation meet-and-greet at our Charlestown clinic, in your home or in the community. You can bring family, carers or your support coordinator, meet the people who'd be involved in your supports, and decide in your own time.
Is Care Alliance the right provider for me?
That depends on what you need — no provider suits everyone, and we'd rather tell you early if we're not the right fit. Care Alliance may be worth considering if you want psychologist-led, multidisciplinary support in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Cessnock, Port Stephens or the Central Coast, and our intake team confirms availability and suitability for your situation. Our guide to choosing an NDIS provider lists the questions worth asking us and any other provider you're comparing.
Is the 24/7 on-call team an emergency service?
No. The on-call team supports the continuity and safety of Care Alliance services around the clock, but it is not an emergency service. In an emergency always call Triple Zero (000). For mental-health crisis support, Lifeline is on 13 11 14 and the NSW Mental Health Line on 1800 011 511.
How do I give feedback or make a complaint?
Tell your contact person directly, use the feedback form on this site, call 1300 206 309 or email info@carealliance.com.au — feedback and complaints never affect your supports. You can also raise concerns with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544 at any time.
